  • Jasmin Thien

    Jasmin Thien is a fully blind, Bruneian born Chinese actor, writer, spoken word artist and stand up comedian.. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 with a first-class honours degree in Education, English, Drama and the Arts. She has worked with Extant as an associate artist and will tour nationally with Super Power Panto in Spring 2023, and with Apples and Snakes as an artist in residence.

    She is passionate about exploring big ideas including intersectionality, ableism, culture and trauma in ways that are authentic while remaining accessible to all.

    Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
