Jovienne Jin, a London-based dramaturg, theatre maker, and sound designer, began her theatrical journey while studying literature in China. Since 2018, she has also worked as a journalist and editor for Common Sense. In London, she studied MA Theatre & Performance at King's, continued directing at RCSSD and gained backstage skills at New Vic Theatre through the New Earth Academy. She explores themes like politics, childhood, and memory through social performance, installation art, and site-specific work, aiming to reconstruct personal freedoms. Recent collaborations include devised theatre with La Phenomena and Ensemble Not Found, immersive productions with Persona Collective, and film programming at Cameo Launch Short Film.
