Rachel Twigg trained at the Birmingham School of Acting before forging a career in artist development. She is currently Head of Studio at the National Theatre, where she has driven the creation of new work for over a decade. In 2025, Rachel completed Soho Theatre’s Character Comedy Lab with Jonathan Oldfield, she also trained in long-form improv with the Free Association, and honed her sitcom writing at City Academy. Rachel creates and develops original characters through sustained online engagement. She now introduces Amanda Royce, ready to take to the stage in her first full-length show. Graham Dickson (Free Association) calls her “a natural: a great comedy presence, sharp timing, and a brilliant turn of phrase.”
