    Laurie Stevens is an actor, writer and Gaulier-certified idiot whose character-driven work is both deeply emotional and deeply silly. She has worked with the Lyric Hammersmith, Leicester Square Theatre, Pleasance and Soho Theatre Labs. She is an experienced improviser, including performances at the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Free Association, and two runs at the Edinburgh Fringe in Geraldyne: Improv from Music. Laurie is a Starting Blocks 2023 artist.

    The Magic of Works-In-Progress

    In the vibrant world of theatre, there's a special kind of performance that often goes unnoticed by the general public but is cherished by artists and dedicated theatre-goers alike: the work-in-progress (WIP). As Camden People's Theatre begins its Autumn 2024 season, we're pulling back the curtain on these unique shows and inviting you to be part of the creative process.


    Great theatre, lovely young team, brilliant supportive diverse programming, the only theatre I can think of that is currently supporting so many theatremakers.

    Programmed artist
