Imogen Frances (they/them) is a gender fluid writer, actor, director and intimacy director based in Devon & London. They’re dedicated to championing stories of marginalised identities - particularly female, queer and gender queer voices. Their work as a writer is often auto-fictional, blending forms and dancing across genres. They are interested in exploring the spaces within gender & sexuality, the nature of intimacy & connection, and how we can heal from trauma by embracing grief.

In 2023 Imogen's play ; (PAUSE BEFORE CONTINUING) made the long list for The RSC’s 37 PLAYS AWARD. In 2024 they received R&D support from The Young Vic and Exeter Northcott, and in 2025 was one of 21 writers on the ELEVATE WRITERS SCHEME. In 2026 their award winning production of TELL ME STRAIGHT, and world premiere of AGGY by writer Paul Bradshaw received star studded reviews at Park Theatre.
