This project emerged from Samantha Manzur a Chilean actress and theatre maker based in London interested in the intersection of the theatre and the museum as site of memory. She has worked in devised theatre and major commercial productions in Chile, and after moving to London a couple of years ago she has performed in the ‘Out of the Wings’ Festival at Omnibus theatre, the short film ‘LATE’ and ‘Mad Women’ at Etcetera Theatre. For this project she is working in collaboration with Sandra Preciado, a multidisciplinary theatre maker and director based in London, Charlotte el Moussaed, a visual artist, photographer, and documentarist based in Paris. Recently a lecturer specialized in theatre and photography, Joel Anderson, has joined as dramaturg for this project.
The concept for this piece originated with Samantha, while Sandra and Charlotte joined the project due to their expertise and previous collaborations with Samantha. This union is motivated by the format and themes of the creation, as well as their shared experiences as Latin American female artists with diasporic heritage.
