  • Purple Wave

    Edith Alibec finished her acting studies in Germany. In 2016 her first play as a producer and an actress, Why the Child is Cooking in the Polenta, premiered in Munich, Germany with the support of The Cultural Department of the City of Munich. The play was directed by Dana Paraschiv. The show won all awards at the biggest festival for one man/woman shows in Romania in 2018. It was selected to be part of Sprint Festival 2020 and then toured the show in Norwich, Cambridge and Oxford. It was staged in 3 languages: German, English and Romanian.
    Since then, she collaborated with the renowned film director Cristi Puiu on his latest feature film Malmkrog (premiered at Berlinale 2020 - Encounters section) both as an actor and researcher and worked on theatre and film projects.
    She teams up with Dana Paraschiv again on 'Tea and Milk'.
