    EggGen is an award-winning theatre company founded by two Gen-Z producers from China.We embrace creation, transformation, and the messy beauty of beginnings, and support experimental works, new writing, and underrepresented voices. We believe in the value of the unfinished, the unlabelled, and the unapproved: like a freshly cracked egg, soft, slippery, but fully alive.

    Recent highlights include EggGen’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut, where the company was recognised with an Outstanding Youth Performance award from the Asian Arts Awards.

    Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
