On a dark and stormy night, Sweet Thing returns home to discover her partner, Darlin, has left her. Sweet Thing turns to her AI-generative companion, Chatter, to rewrite their love story and uncover her mistakes. As the Chatter-written scenes unfold, darker truths about Sweet Thing's relationships emerge. Chatter explores the blurred lines between reality and technology, control and abuse, and asks how we show up for each other in an isolated world.

"I’m fascinated by the role that technology like ChatCPT can play as a tool in our storytelling. I love how Chatter plays with and interrogates this relationship, as well as throwing light on a queer love story in a new and vital way."

"Gripping and gorgeously written. You’d be a fool not to seize it."
Broadway World [on previous work by writer Isabella Waldron]
"Waldron’s writing is refreshingly calm about queer identity and desire, and it’s a mature and tender piece. The eyes have it."
The Guardian [on previous work by writer Isabella Waldron]

"Hats off to the CPT for this fine show, well researched and coming from a place of great passion... Community theatre at its most effective."
