‘DESPERATE WEE GAY BOY’ started as a vent, an agitation towards the London dating scene and then more specifically gay dating and hookup culture.

Ollie is trapped in a box of what straight people see as gay men to be. Promiscuous, highly sexual and unfortunately at times predators. He takes on these stereotypes thinking that’s just who he is when in fact it becomes destructive. He’s desperate to prove that he’s desirable. To validate that he could get any man that he wants.

Rory, Ollie's old friend from Scotland, completely denies any homosexual feelings and bottles them up. His hyper-hetrosexuality is inauthentic and in result destructive to himself and other people he encounters. But he has an unbearable urge to experiment with men.

This work in progress is a twisted rom-com exploring the theme of internalised-homophobia.

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
