Her mother is prophetic. Her sister is reluctantly parenting. She is untangling the past. ‘Small Justice’ is a fractured exploration into three women’s lives, as they grapple with the truth

We’re in Stella’s head. Everything is shifting. Her mother is ill and seeing the future. Her sister is struggling to cope as a single mum. Stella’s old boyfriend is back. Then gone. Then back. Does she want him? Is her mother really sick? Why is everyone eating so many fish? As Stella grapples with the reality of her familial relationships and her romantic relationship, she is forced to unpick the roles that have been made to define her, and uncover both what is real and what is true.

Small Justice is a stream-of-consciousness play, co-created by Maddy Accalia and Seán Butler.

"Stunning: clever, nuanced, moving from social comedy to anger, naïveté to embarrassment... not a word is wasted, not an emotion or observation false"
Libby Purves (TheatreCat) on Maddy Accalia's White Girls
"Aided massively by Accalia’s poem-like script, filled to the brim with powerful images and striking nuances, the play does well to offer insights that feel like the beginning of a conversation, as opposed to attempting to be the final word on any matter; "

"A great local theatre making a massive difference to the local community."
