Keloughn is a secondary school teacher caught in a love cube: his aspiration for senior leadership; his passion for music, and his fiancé, Carmelle. When his worlds collide he finds himself desperately clinging to his sanity whilst life unravels. Something has to give, but at what cost?

No More Mr Nice Guy returns to CPT, chronicling the life of Keloughn Douglas, a British-Caribbean Music Teacher caught in a love cube: his aspiration for senior leadership; his passion to become a successful musician, and his desire to marry the woman of his dreams.

As he struggles to balance work-and-play whilst side-stepping the microaggressions of the day, Keloughn’s worlds collide and he soon finds himself desperately clinging to his sanity whilst life unravels. Something has to give, but at what cost?

We are swiftly immersed inside the mind of our protagonist using a skilful blend of storytelling, movement, rap, RnB and an interplay of sound effects.

With audiences describing the piece as, 'skilful', 'funny', 'thought-provoking' and 'clever', this new piece of experimental gig-theatre is a must see!

"Our children live in the most deprived ward in London and their parents cannot afford to pay for the classes and activities many more privileged children enjoy after school and at the weekends. A free-to-access youth group run by a local theatre in a professional setting is an incredible opportunity."
