  • Cal-I Jonel

    Cal-I Jonel is an actor and creative artist born and raised in East London.
    After a 10-year career in education, he left the teaching profession in 2018 to train at Identity School of Acting and Maktub Theatre group.
    In 2020, he made his professional and West End debut and won Nouveau Riche’s first Madtimes monologue competition which led to a seed commission of his debut play, No More Mr Nice Guy.
    Cal-I was the recipient of Arts Council England Funding in 2021 to develop his creative practice. He looks forward to developing new and exciting stories for stage and screen.

    Keloughn is a secondary school teacher caught in a love cube: his aspiration for senior leadership; his passion for music, and his fiancé, Carmelle. When his worlds collide he finds himself desperately clinging to his sanity whilst life unravels. Something has to give, but at what cost?
