FLYOLOGY is a defiant new musical from Tamiko Dooley & Cathy Farmer.
It’s part sci-fi glitch, part feminist riot, part late-night group chat you wish you were part of. Think Book of Mormon meets SIX meets Black Mirror. Fast, razor-sharp dialogue. Banger songs. Fourth-wall breaks.
Callum, a founder with a tragic number of failed apps, has built the Civilisational Continuity Simulator™️, a predictive model designed to ‘fix’ the future. Clean, calm, contradiction-free.
At the live launch event, everything glitches.
Ada Lovelace. Ethel Smyth. Emmeline Pankhurst.
Three historic women, ripped out of time, reform inside the simulation — and they don’t plan on being quietly deleted.
This generation has grown up inside broken systems; from fake news to AI bias to sanitised TikToks about revolution.
FLYOLOGY is a musical about fighting to leave a real trace, leaving audiences and performers with a weapon they already have: their noise.
Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
