    Fri 2nd May at 9pm
    Tickets £18-£12 (+Booking Fee)
The Harem of no One presents a risk taking cabaret blending storytelling and popular music from SWANA.

Dolmuş Minibus is a vibrant cabaret performance that explores through music,.  movement and storytelling the journey of SWANA immigrants who bring the iconic Dolmuş bus to London. Through their initiative, they aim to create a self-organised, utopian community—a safe haven for SWANA  immigrants in a new city.

The story unfolds through an interview conducted by Simon, a provocative TV host, whose divisive rhetoric pits Western and Eastern cultures against one another. Simon perpetuates orientalist stereotypes, questioning the legitimacy of these immigrants’ cultural narrative.

Dolmuş Minibus challenges the audience to consider a vital question: Who gets to tell the story of a culture? Blending humor, sharp critique, and poppular music!

"Our children live in the most deprived ward in London and their parents cannot afford to pay for the classes and activities many more privileged children enjoy after school and at the weekends. A free-to-access youth group run by a local theatre in a professional setting is an incredible opportunity."
