Bad jokes, dad jokes, tragically sad jokes…so why is everyone laughing? In this beautifully chaotic production, Elise journals her way into the realisation that it was not ‘just a joke.’

Brace yourselves Men, this is not one for the faint hearted…

Consumed with worry that she may become a raging man hater, Elise live journals to the audience using multi-media in hope to understand the blurry boundaries of humour between men and women. Bad jokes made by men about women have graced our ears for centuries, so it’s about time that someone takes off the trousers, and puts on the apron, to confront those toxic gender stigmas and un-tasteful jokes.

This one woman show is a playful eruption of irony and vulnerability taking the audience on a beautifully chaotic and performative journey, with stop-motion and make-up artistry. It’s time to sit back, drink a beer, snack on some McCoys or a Yorkie and hopefully have a good ole giggle!

Straight from Elise’s journal to your ears, this show is a letter From Her, To Him...

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
