Mahshid Alavi is a performer, theatre practitioner, filmmaker, and facilitator from Iran, based in the UK.
Her practice brings together movement, film, and performance, and she is interested in different ways of storytelling to bring voices that are not often being heard to life.
Mahshid has created commissioned work across live performance and film, developing bold, interdisciplinary projects that centre care, collaboration, and cultural storytelling. She is part of Common Wealth’s Performance Collective, where she works alongside artists to create socially engaged work that amplifies marginalised voices and challenges dominant narratives.
