Ariana is a writer/director from London, her work aims to be rebellious, rigorous and reflect humanity in turbulence. She has most recently assistant directed on OFFIE nominated 'Wasted' at Catford Broadway with Nouveau Riche. She often collaborates with sister, Phoebe Axa who will be joining the 'Stomach' team as composer. Ariana directed and Phoebe composed for a version of 'Yen' attended by writer Anna Jordan. They have also collaborated on four music videos, the most recent for song 'My Toxic Trait' which premiered with the Gay Times.
Ariana met producer - Afriya Nylander during their time studying theatre at The BRIT School in Croydon for 3 years, where she set up feminist initiative 'Venus Collective' a workshop space for female identifying students and directed a version of Lucy Kirkwood's 'Maryland'. Both are also Old Vic Theatre makers alumni. Afriya has worked with the National Theatre as an assistant producer on “Death of England: Closing Time” and is currently working on new writing at the Kiln Theatre.
