Johnny the Biblical Rapper is a white male spoken word poet performed and written by Parr a white northern female.

Expect soft boy entitlement and absurd sexual energy generated by a deep connection to male shame.

The result is a provocative hilariously dark investigation into power dynamic, class language and ownership of the female body.

"Nobody has ever hit the nail on the head so accurately about fragile + toxic masculinity. Johnny's performance, while absurd + obscure to start, quickly became a strong, intellectual and genuinely funny study of gender stereotypes."
    GAY UK Mag
"Johnny is a f*cking smart and unselfconscious unpicking of masculinity. Brilliantly executed thanks to Parrs intrinsic empathy. Often ridiculous, never unkind, always heart-burstingly endearing. "
    Charley Miles, Writer
"Got books on feminism in his room now coz he says birds love that shit"
    Johnnys mate Cock Tash Craig

Great theatre, lovely young team, brilliant supportive diverse programming, the only theatre I can think of that is currently supporting so many theatremakers.
