Camden Youth Theatre introduces Camden’s young people to the skills they need to create inventive new theatre - made by them, for them.
What is CYT?
CYT is a community of young people who make exciting, original and meaningful theatre.
Established in response to local demand for a creative club for young people, CYT is led by top theatre professionals. We create new shows and perform at two of London’s best studio theatres: Camden People’s Theatre and New Diorama Theatre.
We meet every Tuesday evening after-school, where we eat pizza, play drama games and work on a new piece of theatre that we perform publicly at the end of the year. Our members are involved in every aspect of the show - from devising, writing and designing, to bringing it to life on stage.
As well as this, we go on trips to see top London theatre shows, have workshops run by guest artists, and provide our members performance and development opportunities throughout the year. And all of this is completely free.
CYT is a place to be creative, make new friends, learn creative skills, try new things, and get on stage. You don’t need any experience - everyone is welcome.
Who Can Join?
Camden Youth Theatre is open to 13-19 year-olds who live, work, or study in Camden. Whether you’re a theatre fan or totally new to it, come and get involved - it's completely free to join!
