Villain Era, a one-woman comedy show, explores viral fame in the digital age. Through stand-up, characters, and musical parody, Star explores the effect social media has on mental health.

Villain Era is a multimedia comedy show that sheds light on the story of Star, who in 2019, experienced an overnight rise to internet fame when she was cast in a YouTube reality show called "Vegans versus Meat Eaters". This video went viral to over 17 million views and Star was positioned as the "villain" through editing. As a result, she faced years of online harassment, trolling, and public vitriol. Using the real footage of harassment from Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X, Star takes audiences through the complex world of online fame, anonymity, and the devastating mental health toll that comes with it. This is a one-woman show based on a true story.
