    A Party. (noun)
Definition: A space that people enter as individuals, become a group inside and leave changed. People might commemorate, might celebrate, might connect.
    '

'this is not a party.’ tells the various truths of being a young adult in London, through a celebratory lens using cabaret, naturalism, dance and comedy. Experience three urban stories about sexuality, class, family dynamics and the power of human connection.

All of this sparking from the desperately important question:
What if young theatre-makers could get paid to create their own work? The MAKING-SPACE Programme does just that. Funded by the Universal Credit Kickstart Scheme, we have had six months to create a company, process and theatre production together. We've worked all over London in different rehearsal spaces, had in a dozen different facilitators and have even run workshops on each other to share our unique expertise. We believe making space for creatives is vital and exponentially positive. We believe that the future of theatre is inclusive, collaborative and openminded.

This performance may be the end of the programme but it's only the beginning of our collective mission.

Get it in the diary now. We’d love to see you there.
@theatremakingspace, we collaboratively innovate theatre and how it’s made.

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
