A new Brazilian sci-fi play about the working lives of women in late capitalism and the relentless pressure to increase productivity #ReprogrammeMySleep

Exhausted by the demands of her job and housework, M. longs to make use of the lost hours between midnight and six.

Following an online "sleep-working" tutorial, she creates a dream version of herself, W.

But W. soon begins to demand more time, more space, and more control...

"Work While They Sleep" was shortlisted for the Royal Court Theatre’s international script submissions, through which playwright Filipe Pereira and translator Jenny Witzel met. This English translation was made possible by an Arts Council England grant.
