This quirky one man show follows Udham Singh's astonishing journey from orphan boy through life as a Hollywood extra, a spy an underwear salesman to the act he is best known for – the assassination of Sir Michael O'Dwyer in Caxton Hall, London.
Twenty One years earlier, on April 13th 1919, Sir Michael O'Dwyer, then Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab, ordered his troops to open fire on 20,000 innocent men, women and children confined in a walled garden. Udham Singh survived the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre but, he vowed revenge.
With integrity, originality and humour, Udham! brings the legend of India's renowned revolutionary, Udham Singh to this one man adaptation.
Great theatre, lovely young team, brilliant supportive diverse programming, the only theatre I can think of that is currently supporting so many theatremakers.
