Where does care come from?
Who's responsible for the mental health of a child in care?
What makes foster kids so naughty?
Asharn Prior aged 14-18, a trouble maker turned independent young person. But how did they do it? Who helped them and why? The Daisy Chain (tDc) is a beautiful and provoking theatrical case study led by Asharn, looking at how they navigated labels and emotional regulation with the help and hindrance of the adults around them.
Originally called The Daisy that Broke the Chain, the show's main focus is for children social care practitioners, i.e: Social workers, foster carers and policy makers, to understand that it takes a village and dedication to raise a child and break through to their developing brains and make a change.

“British theatre would be completely stymied without tiny, under-resourced venues such as CPT, which are a critical part of the theatre ecology.”
