Is stuff good? Bad? As a market researcher, Chiara should know. But it’s complicated. Based on true stories, Stuffed wonders how best to handle consumerism, when there’s no Planet B.

Raised by a brand-loving mother and a hippy father, Chiara grew up between ideals and shopping bags. Twenty years in market research later, she’s still torn about what—and how much—we buy. Drawing on a life spanning 1980s Italy, global consumer research, immigration, and motherhood, Stuffed explores our complicated love affair with things. Funny, personal, and quietly urgent, the play asks how we live with stuff in a world where there is no Planet B.
