A slow, slimy exploration of trans-masculinity, hormones and being a pest. Celebrate soft bellies, sensuality, rotting and renewal in this drag-comedy that offers queer alternatives for anyone with a body.

Meet George. He has a soft belly and a tendency to hide in his shell when he feels intimidated or overwhelmed. Sometimes George feels a bit behind, like his life is moving somehow slower than everyone else's. George is neither male nor female but he uses ‘he’ pronouns because apparently a lot of people find that confusing. Lots of you don't like George. You think he's a pest. You think he's disgusting and slimy and ruins your garden. But if you give him a chance, we could all learn a thing or two from George.

Snail Trail is about living in a body that conflicts with the world around you. It’s about revelling in the sticky oozing slimy bits of existence and finding the joy in being repulsive. It’s a manifesto for the pests and the creepy crawlies among us. It’s an invitation to slow down and touch and taste and feel and rub all up against the world, snog with your entire soft body and make sure to leave a shimmery trail everywhere you go. It’s about building our bodies into homes and repairing the cracks in our armour. It’s about compost and regrowth and vegetables.

But ultimately, we don’t quite know what it’s about yet because this is a work in progress and you are invited to help me find out.

This is the first sharing of brand new un-finished work. It might get sticky, but that's ok - we like sticky.
