A new dark solo comedy exploring compulsory heterosexuality, the industrial wedding complex and what happens when you meet 'the one' but you're still the troll under the bridge.

With a name like hers, Bride Thompson has always known that as soon as she finds the man of her dreams, walks down that aisle, and marries him, everything else will fall into place.

So now that she's engaged, everyone else wants to know, why has she moved into a cupboard? Is the girl who ate tamagotchis and coloured in her teeth finally about to put on a big white dress? And what exactly is she doing with three anonymous instagram accounts?

Through interviews with Bride's friends, family, and childhood pet rabbit, Sad Bride is a new dark solo comedy play by Charlottes Merriam (Writer/Actor) and Vickers (Director/Dramaturg), that explores the industrial wedding complex, compulsory heterosexuality, and what to do if you meet the 'one' but are still the troll under a bridge.

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
