A dictaphone records. A train approaches the platform. A child lets go of her stuffed pink elephant.

This play is a true story: it is also a pack of lies. Built around a series of verbatim interviews, PULSE is a piece of True-Crime theatre.

Writer-performer Eloise Heath uses years of experience in documentary filmmaking to craft a confronting portrait of Alice- a woman spending life in prison.

An exploration of violence, radical empathy, and the ways the monstrous may not be quite as it seems, PULSE is a true-crimedy that asks the audience to think the unthinkable.

Developed on Starting Blocks at Camden People's Theatre.
