When Elliot woke up today, he was 16 again. He doesn’t recognise himself or his life in Hove. Because when we went to sleep, he was just an emo kid from Decatur, Illinois. He can’t believe what he’s become.

When Elliot woke up today, he was 16 again. He doesn’t recognise himself or his life in Hove. Because when we went to sleep, he was just an emo kid from Decatur, Illinois. He can’t believe what he’s become. He has to face the music – but all he wants to do is lock himself in his room and listen to Dashboard Confessional.

Blending character comedy, theatre and clown, Goblin is a work-in-progress hour from award-nominated actor and comedian Derek Mitchell (Ted Lasso). Directed by Ellie BW, with dramaturgical support from Jen Ives.

"Our children live in the most deprived ward in London and their parents cannot afford to pay for the classes and activities many more privileged children enjoy after school and at the weekends. A free-to-access youth group run by a local theatre in a professional setting is an incredible opportunity."
