Frankie Thompson - Horrible Things (Works in Regress)

    Thurs 14 - Sat 16 May at 9pm
    Tickets £12 - £18 (+ booking fee)
Not a work in progress. No progress will be made. This is a work in regress. Please do not come if you’re expecting content, plot and/or structure.

    "Repeat after me:
This is not a work in progress.
    No progress will be made.
This is a work in regress.
We have to go backwards to rethink where we are going.
    But what to I know?
    I'm just Peppa Pig."

Frankie Thompson, somewhere between a nasty Dorothy from the wizard of Oz and a petulant six year old girl, lists the horrible things that she's going to do

    These include:

A selection of men in chairs
A durational Shelley Duvall into participatory baby boy experience
Things that aren't AI, but should be.
Christopher Hitchens sexual encounter with Margaret Thatcher
Things that are AI, that sound like they are AI.
An immersive regret event (with a visual display for those who don't want to take part)
    The Prophecy
A Conducted Overreaction at the BBC Proms
    Among others.

If you laugh it’s comedy, if you don’t it’s live art.

    Supported by the Puppet Barge.

Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
