Which actor would you choose to play your ‘DAD’ in an ongoing-never-ending-durational performance called ‘LIFE’?
In a ridiculous pursuit for connection HOLLLIDAY auditions a group of actors to do just that. DEAD DAD DEATH CULT is a playful exploration of paternal absence with a sizzling undercurrent of malaise. It’s giving laugh-cry-laugh-cry... laugh?
Expect tightly woven chaos, a toybox of surreal voices and one very oblivious lead. All DADs welcome and no participation required.
Written and performed by artist-writer Samra Mayanja.
Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
