“Part of this is about bringing the fucking council estate rage into the theatre.” - Conrad Murray on why Beats & Elements make work.

Beats & Elements was born out of frustration with the class inequality in theatre. Paul Cree and Conrad Murray got sick of not seeing people like themselves on stage – but worse was that on the rare occasions they did, it often felt deeply inauthentic. Beats & Elements centres working-class stories and use their lexicon of rap, beatbox, drama and spoken word, to create exciting new theatre.

This show is a celebration of almost 10 years since Beats & Elements' debut hit show, No Milk For The Foxes first graced the CPT stage. Expect songs and scenes from acclaimed shows No Milk For The Foxes and High Rise eState of Mind, as well as brand-new material. With beats, bars, dialouge, class-chat and laughs.

Not seen Beats & Elements before? Check out the trailer for High Rise eState of Mind to see why we love having their work at CPT:

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
