  • Post-Enhance with Extant Theatre Company

Extant – in partnership with Camden People's Theatre – presents Enhance.

CPT is delighted to be working with theatre company Extant on a number of our co-productions, including Why A Black Woman Will Never Be Prime Minister by Zakiyyah Deen.

Visually impaired access has been created for this show post-production, devised by an Extant visually impaired facilitator. This is not audio description, but instead an ‘enhanced’ way of providing access that has been tried and tested by Extant. We call this 'Post-Enhance'.

The next Post-Enhance production at Camden People's Theatre is on 7th November (for Why A Black Woman).

We invite visually impaired audiences to come along and experience the programme notes and touch tour before the show beginning at 6pm. The notes encapsulate the visual aspects of the show and are written with access for visually impaired audiences at the core. The Touch Tour offers exploration of set, props and costume: offering an immersive space in which to imagine the work before the show begins.

Please note that you will need to book the 6pm Post-Enhance Touch Tour separately to your ticket to the show. The booking links for both are on the show's webpage.

‘"Very descriptive and it allowed me to create a visual picture in my head."

"Companies like us genuinely would not be making theatre if it was not for the ability of CPT and its team to identify artists who are worth taking a chance on."
