My name is Sam Ross. I’m a theatre-maker and performer, creating solo performances under
the company name of Sam Does Theatre.
I create work which addresses overlooked, underappreciated yet important subjects. I use my own lived experiences as a jumping off point to explore wider universal themes and feelings. I draw from aspects of live art, physical movement, and verbatim theatre to tell these stories, whilst always ensuring that the performance is accessible to a broader audience.
Previous work includes can’t stop can’t stop - a semi-autobiographical devised show
which explored what it feels like to live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and was
shortlisted for both the Total Theatre Emerging Artist Award and the Mental Health Fringe
Award during its run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018.
