Set in a Wiltshire suburb, Declan is a fragmented, hallucinatory monologue. As childlike outsider Jimbo recalls the disappearance of his best friend Declan, he is plagued by the ghosts of the past and present. With a hazy grasp on reality, Jimbo searches through his fractured town for Declan - and along the way makes troubling discoveries about his own childhood.
Written and performed by Alistair Hall and directed by Billy Barrett, Declan is a piercing, surreal take on the queer coming of age story.
Following an acclaimed run of digital performances and being featured in The Guardian's 'Best Online Theatre', this new production brings Declan to live audiences for the first time.
Featured in Attitude Magazine's The Best Theatre To See in November 2022.
Great theatre, lovely young team, brilliant supportive diverse programming, the only theatre I can think of that is currently supporting so many theatremakers.
