It's 1938 and Liesl has fled Nazi Germany. With her sideboard, suitcase and sewing machine, she embarks on becoming an 'ortinerry Inklisch hausvyfe' in North London. A humorous, musical and topical new play adapted from Sophie Herxheimer's Sunday Times Poetry Book of The Year. Familiar presence on stage and screen, Sarah Malin inhabits and performs this resonant tale of exile and home.
