Ignacio has discovered something that could change his life forever. He doesn’t know how to tell his partner Maria. As he is at home preparing tomato soup, he enters another dimension where he becomes both a children's clown in crisis and an inspirational speaker. Ignacio will learn something from each of them that will help him take the difficult next step in his life.
Tomatoes Don’t Fly is a very interactive physical theatre performance with elements of clowning that invites us all to confront fear of the unknown and see every challenge in life as an opportunity for growth.
Supported by AMATA (Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) Falmouth University. Artistic residencies at Calgras, Seraphics Theatre and Canpink Fabrica Artistica.
Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
