The Land That Never Was tells the true story of Gregor MacGregor (yes that is his real name), a Scottish conman who sold a country that literally did not exist.

Blending confessional stand-up, storytelling, and a whole lot of bullshit. This is a show that looks to the past to examine where we come from, where we are now, and what the future may look like.

It's a show about a group of strangers who collectively believed in something that doesn't exist... yet.

Developed with support from Vanishing Point, Capital Theatres, and Summerhall.

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
