“It hurt... lying to you. It hurt”

In the game of love there are no winners.

When Mikey is dumped by Elise, he turns to his best friend Sonny for support. But when Sonny goes round to Elise's apartment to drop off her stuff, a connection is made. How will Sonny manage these new feelings? How will Mikey move past the break up? And how will Elise cope being between her ex and his best friend?

TAKO (Octopus in Japanese) is a humorous, new-writing piece exploring the intricate dynamics of masculinity, friendship, and relationships, while raising the question: Do we have to learn lessons first hand in order to grow?

    Cast:

    Sonny - Christian Bevan

    Elise - Clara Courty-Zanca

    Mikey - Max Mindell

Tobi King Bakare and this theatre deserve a shout-out for such a young, diverse audience. There is so much talk about audiences being full of over 60s and why, why can’t theatres get the crowds in to reflect society in general? Well, I’m happy to say that on a rainy Thursday evening, the theatre was completely full.
