Using spoken word, comedy and performance art, MAN IS DI FEAST finds joy discovering parallels between how the world treats Black women and how the world treats nature through Olive - A Jamaican woman made up of 4 elemental spirits. Olive represents the working class migrant woman, with all their complexities. Women whose identities are often erased by their sacrifices to motherhood.

Olive contains multitudes. With their own unique opinions and ways of viewing the world, these spirits take over their host unexpectedly, but also when she needs them the most...
In the back of Olive’s failing Jamaican restaurant, past, present and future merge to deliver a message of poetic protest to anyone brave enough to listen.

    The 4 Elements of Olive

Air: Inhale her teachings and treat her with respect.
Earth: Allow her to ground you, in whichever form her spirit chooses to possess.
Fire: She is your ruler. Your chef. Your hot ebony mistress.
Water: She is your over protective mother. A water Goddess.
