In this debut storytelling performance, Maxwell makes a prodigal's return to the musty vibrancy of amateur dramatics - engrossing her family for four generations. Utilising queer theory, degree-level practice-based research and a showstopper of a smile, I, AmDram minds the gap between the identities we assert and the worlds we leave. This international premiere will contain a small amount of show tunes with some simple choreography. Maxwell is as excited about that as you are. The piece was initially develope in 2017 through Starting Blocks, Camden People's Theatre's artist development scheme. It has since been presented in manifold guises at the Barn Theatre (WGC), Watford Fringe, and various London work-in-progress nights.
