In a world where your child refuses to put on clothes, but also democracy is dying and global warming is at hand, how do you stay sane (or sane enough)? This is a question we cannot answer, but we will have fun trying!

In "How to Explain This Messed-up World to Your Kids" we will try to make sense of the absurd situations in which we as parents find ourselves on a daily basis. The combined installation, workshop and performance will be a safe and fun atmosphere for parents to discuss their dilemmas and confess their least flattering moments. During the event, you may cuddle a giant teddy bear, visit the Island of Misfit Toys*, and have as many temper tantrums as you want. As a company, our philosophy is that theatre can function as a safe environment to practice life, and this time we want to practice how to talk to kids.

*Please feel free to bring any unwanted toys to contribute to our misfit island.

    Wednesday's performance is baby friendly.

Programmed by Nohar Lazarovitz Balaam: "This show particularly resonated with me as I became a parent. The company provides a space for parents to share worst moments, reflect, wonder and laugh together. It felt important to make space for this whilst ensuring accessibility to those who do bath time at 7pm."

"Insightful, hilarious and seriously terrifying... dazzling performances, and a depth and a beauty in its writing that makes it an alluring and memorable piece of theatre"
    Open Door (previous show)
"bizarre yet effortlessly funny... not to be missed"
    The Upcoming (previous show)
"a smart, well-conceived, well-executed, genuinely touching and very funny piece of physical theatre"
    Edinburgh Spotlight (previous show)
"With excellent and exceedingly ingenious use of props, physicality, music and facial expression, the four characters construct a captivating, if confusing, world, in which dreams, reality, sanity and insanity all blend together... smart, sexy and surreal."
    Broadway Baby (previous show)

“It means so much to be working at CPT, it’s such a good opportunity to work in a professional environment at my age. I didn’t think that was ever going to happen and it means the world to me. It’s really going to help prepare me for my future and where I want to go”
