In a world where your child refuses to put on clothes, but also democracy is dying and global warming is at hand, how do you stay sane (or sane enough)? This is a question we cannot answer, but we will have fun trying!
In "How to Explain This Messed-up World to Your Kids" we will try to make sense of the absurd situations in which we as parents find ourselves on a daily basis. The combined installation, workshop and performance will be a safe and fun atmosphere for parents to discuss their dilemmas and confess their least flattering moments. During the event, you may cuddle a giant teddy bear, visit the Island of Misfit Toys*, and have as many temper tantrums as you want. As a company, our philosophy is that theatre can function as a safe environment to practice life, and this time we want to practice how to talk to kids.
*Please feel free to bring any unwanted toys to contribute to our misfit island.

The company provides a space for parents to share worst moments, reflect, wonder and laugh together. It felt important to make space for this whilst ensuring accessibility to those who do bath time at 7pm."
