Big Bang is CPT’s regular scratch night: an explosion of performance from which new universes of theatre may one day emerge. These jam-packed platforms are highlights of the CPT programme: the place to see wild and wonderful new projects take their first steps.

Each bill features three or four artists or companies performing 15-20 minutes of fresh-from-the-rehearsal-room work-in-development. (In the words of CPT's Front of House Manager Adam: it's like theatre tapas). They’re doing so because they want to know what works and what doesn’t, and they’d love you to tell them. So please join us for – and share your thoughts on – these exclusive previews of tomorrow’s most exciting theatre, today…

    d0n't haunt m3 babii <3 - 15 mins

A m0dern mill3nnial haunting. I wouldn’t tolerate a ghost in my home, so why is my parasitic poltergeist of a boyfriend still leaving skidders on my towels?

    Permission - 20 mins

Leaping between an immigration line at Heathrow and a living room in Pakistan, 'Permission' tugs at the tight-rope of respectability politics, on which a young immigrant woman balances herself meticulously.

    Burning Box - 20 mins

Burning Box is a semi-immersive, experimental piece of storytelling, interrogating the expectation of woman through a working class lens. Sort of a postmodern matchstick girl, reimagined, alive and kicking.

"Welcoming, inclusive, creative and life-affirming. I have learnt a lot myself in so many ways that will seep into all parts of my life. My self-confidence has massively increased"
