Mapping a teenager's quest for answers in the aftermath of a suicide.

And The Stars Were Burning Brightly is a powerful story about loss, understanding and the importance of speaking up when all you want to do is shut down.

Camden Youth Theatre and director Lakeisha Lynch-Stevens present the world premiere adaptation of Danielle Jawando’s acclaimed novel, devised by local teenagers.

"Thought-provoking and timely, yet filled with hope" - The Bookseller on And The Stars Were Burning Brightly

Created by Camden Youth Theatre, a partnership between New Diorama, Camden People’s Theatre and Old Diorama Arts Centre.

Camden Youth Theatre is supported by John Lyon’s Charity, Arts Council England, The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust and Jack Petchey Foundation.

"The seed commission has made me feel supported, not just as an artist but also a woman of colour whose story needs to be heard."
