Excited by radical, inclusive theatre? Want to help Camden People’s Theatre expand its board for its next chapter?
Camden People’s Theatre is recruiting a small cohort of new Trustees to join our newly appointed Chair as we enter the next phase of our development.
Deadline: Monday 23rd November.
CPT is a small but mighty studio theatre in Camden, near Warren St tube, dedicated to artist development and new work. Each year we present 300+ performances by 150 artists, reaching over 15,000 people, and we take risks other venues can’t. We back artists before anyone else knows what their ideas might become.
We’re particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in fundraising and income generation, artist development and knowledge of the independent theatre world, legal or employment matters, and people with a genuine Camden community connection.
You don’t need previous trustee experience to apply. We know many brilliant potential trustees might not yet see themselves as “board people”, so we offer a proper induction, welcome informal conversations, and we encourage applications from people without formal education and from communities under-represented in arts governance.
Term: three years with a maximum two terms. Meetings: usually four board meetings per year plus an annual away day, currently hybrid. Role: unpaid voluntary position, with reasonable expenses and access support covered.
If you’re curious, connected, generous with your expertise and excited by radical, inclusive independent theatre, we would love to hear from you. Deadline: Monday 16th November. Applications can be made in the format that works best for you, including audio or video submission. For full details please review our recruitment pack.
