How do I make a hire enquiry?

For any hires enquiries, rehearsals, shows or more, please fill in this form with as much information as possible.  Have a read of the rest of this page. The form asks the following questions:

• Who you are: A bit about your company and a contact email address.
• What the show/project is: A few sentences will be enough for us to begin the conversation. 
• Scheduling information
  • When are you looking to put the show on? You can be exact with dates, but it’s easier for us to find times if you have some flexibility. 
  • How many performances are you looking for?
  • What is the show running time?
  • Will you have an interval?
• Technical needs
  • How long will you need for your get-in and rehearsals?
  • Will you have your own technical operator - or would you need us to help with this? (One of our technicians will join you for the get-in with every show to give you a technical induction)
• The number of people in your team.
• A rough idea of your planned ticket prices. 

Availability

Our theatre space is available to hire outside of CPT’s regular programming. We generally release our availability quarterly, after we announce each season of programming. So the best time to enquire is around 3-4 months out from when you are looking to put on your show. 

Currently our best availability is January to February 2025. Each year we keep July open for hires and Edinburgh previews, and in August, we are one of the venues that host the Camden Fringe. Outside of these months our availability for hires is a bit more sporadic, but it’s always worth enquiring. 

Costs

Below are the standard hire fees that we offer, if you need something different let us know. 

Rehearsal hire:

Weekday day rate: £33+VAT/hour – bookable in half days (10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm) or whole days (10am-6pm)
Weekend day rate: £38+VAT/hour – bookable in half days (10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm) or whole days (10am-6pm)

*Please note that in order to use our technical equipment you must book one of our in-house technicians, and will be charged an hourly rate for this.

Technical staffing: £14+VAT/hr (4 hours minimum)

Performance hire:

£437+VAT, additional performances at £390+VAT. We offer an 85/15% ticket split in your favour.

To keep costs as low as possible, we generally programme double-billed evenings. This does not mean that you need to come to us with 2 shows. It means that our usual price is based on shows lasting around 60 minutes without an interval. The offer includes a 3.5 hour get in time, and you can expect there may be another show running on the same evening. If your show is longer than this or you need exclusive use of the space, it will likely have a higher cost. 

Included in the performance hire fee is:

• Access to the space (inc. dressing room) at least half an hour before event start time
• 3.5 hour get-in with venue technician on the same day as the event
• Listing on our website, tickets sold through our box office system online and in person.
• Two members of staff to work the bar and box office for the event
• Access to the bar

Discounted Rates

We are sometimes able to offer discounted rates to community groups and artists we have previously worked with.
