Three Latin American actresses wait their turn to audition for the role of a fiery, sensual Latina. Each actress is desperate to get the part (who knows when the next Latinx role will come around on the British theatre scene?), but which of them can embody The Latina best? But what does it even mean to be, feel or look Latina, when each woman has felt her identity change and transform, from the moment they crossed the Atlantic to the day they read the audition sides? Should they give up their identities and surrender to a stranger’s imagination, or give up their careers in Britain? Should they help each other and find a community with their Latina sisters, or stab each other in the back to get the role?
