Brand new company Mulch Productions presents a darkly comic musical play inspired by the true story of Jeanne Pouchain: a woman, very much alive, declared legally dead.

Get 25% off when you book more than one show across our CPT programme.

In 2016, Jeanne Pouchain’s passport application is declined. Her identification documents are rejected and her bank records have disappeared. Upon investigation, she discovers she has been declared legally dead in a courtroom where she was not present. She finds herself in the middle of a Kafkaesque nightmare trying to prove something that should be painfully obvious: she is very much alive.
Greedily burning through theatrical styles and genres, we delve into this puzzling, fascinating and heartbreaking true story with music, clowning and movement.

Primarily developed as part of the ColLab23 Festival at LAMDA.

"Our children live in the most deprived ward in London and their parents cannot afford to pay for the classes and activities many more privileged children enjoy after school and at the weekends. A free-to-access youth group run by a local theatre in a professional setting is an incredible opportunity."
