Become a CPT Assembly Member
We’re a people’s theatre, which means we’re trying to democratise as many of our processes as possible, and this includes how we ask people to support us.
Last year we supported 226 artists / companies to deliver 302 performances, we gave out 1356 hours of in-kind rehearsal space, and 60 of our artists received commissions. 72% of those artists were in the first 4 years of their career, and showed work to over 17,000 audience members. Though we’re one of the smallest theatres, we are one of the biggest emerging artist support hubs in the city.
A monthly donations through our Assembly Membership programme can help us to achieve this every year while we also deliver a community engagement programme and our transformative Camden Youth Theatre. No matter what level you donate at, you're ensuring we can continue doing this incredibly work, which is why all of our members get the exact same experience.
That's not all, we want your choice to matter and so we've created an annual vote. Every year membership fees will form a micro-commission that will be awarded to an emerging artist we are working with. We'll host an annual CPT Assembly Gala where you'll be invited to meet artists, celebrate the year and cast your vote on who should receive the micro-commission that you have created. Functioning like a real people's assembly, you'll then award that commission to the artist you all choose.
